Three Museums in Jakarta Temporarily Closed

The operational of three museums in Jakarta will be closed temporarily. The closure is related with fumigation of the buildings.

Those three museums are our heritage building. Their condition must be maintained well

Those three museums are Sejarah Jakarta Museum at Jalan Taman Fatahilla No. 1, Kota Tua, West Jakarta. To be closed from November 14-19.

Next, Joang 45 Museuum at Jalan Menteng Raya No. 31, Central Jakarta. To be closed from November 28 to December 1, and Moehammad Husni Thamrin at Jalan Kenari II No. 15, Kenari, Senen, Central Jakarta. To be closed from November 28 to December 1.

100 Officers Held Communal Work at Fatahillah Museum

“Those three museums are our heritage building. Their condition must be maintained well,” said Sri Kusumawati, Head Unit of Historical Museum Management, Sunday (11/13).

Based on the data, the last fumigation for historical buildings in Jakarta was in 2012.

“Fumigation will be applied by injecting the foundation and also with evaporation,” she closed.
